I’m Ryan, an experienced product designer from Columbus, OH. Over the past couple years, I’ve been deeply involved in early stage startups. Driving products from concept to launch, and owning the entire product lifecycle.
Lately, I have been shipping designs like a mad man, building the future of entire product ecosystems and using design to scale companies.
Now, I operate as Head of Design and sole Product Designer at a startup. I co-founded a design studio, DesignX, and co-lead all design efforts. Habitually designing experiences users love for 12+ hours a day (but who’s counting) and building any idea that comes to mind, big or small.

Figma is great, Dev Mode is great, but what’s not great is when your handing off designs without Dev Mode or when a engineer misses all your annotations.
Now, I am building a plugin to hopefully create a lasting solution for that specific pain point during the design handoff process.

Favorite fonts
One of the small things I love about design is typography. Ever since college I always loved scrolling through and searching for the best font for whatever project I was working on. I took multiple classes on typography and print design and fell in love with the art of typography. Typography is so much more than just words - it is quite literally the visual language that visually sets the tone and voice of your designs.
If you have never thought much about typography I challenge you to open your favorite app and ask yourself what that app would look like if it used Times New Roman or Comic Sans or IBM Plex Mono. Imagine how funny it would look if you were trying to book a place on Airbnb and the entire app was Comic Sans. It just doesn’t work.
